According to the related document spirit of China Scholarship Council and Chongqing Education Commission, Sichuan International Studies University undertakes Chinese government scholarships support for local government programs. The enrollment and registration matters are as follows:
1. Categories of Applicants and Duration of Study
The duration of full-time graduates in school is two or three years. If students’ Chinese is not qualified for the requirements of major studies, a one-year-long remedial Chinese language studies is arranged before major studies. They will not be allowed to carry out major studies until they pass the examination for Chinese.

3. The Details of Scholarship
1) Exempt from tuition fee and the fee for accommodation;
2) The access to the comprehensive medical insurance for international
students in China;
3) Monthly living allowance (RMB 3000 yuan for master degree students per month).
4. Application Eligibility
1) Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health.
2) Applicants can’t be those who have already been studying in China (those
graduates who stay in China should have graduated for at least one year).
3) Applicants must have bachelor degree and be under the age of 35.
4) Applicants are not provided with any other scholarship.
5. Application Procedures
Step1: Review the page of http://laihua.csc.edu.cn(a user name and password should be registered at first).
Step2: Read the Online Registration Instruction after entering the system, and then follow the instruction to operate.
Step3: Click the “next step” button to choose the category of the Scholarship (Chinese government scholarship should be chose).
Step4: The organization code which is in the first blank under the personal information is the most important part during the whole process of online application. Please fill it out correctly or you shall not be able to continue the application (only English allowed).
Step5: Please fill out the online application form according to the steps presented on the left side of the page. The realness, validity and completeness should be guaranteed.
Step6: The application form should be checked and submitted online after it’s done.
Step7: The “download application” button can be clicked to download and print the form that you have finished.
Step8: Please mail it with a duplicate copy along with other documents and application materials to International Students’ Department，Sichuan International Studies University.
6. Application Materials
1) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (one original and one photocopy, in Chinese or in English).
The applicants should review the online application platform of http://laihua.csc.edu.cn to establish a personal account, fill out the form online, and submit it to our university along with other application materials after printed and signed.
The organization code of our university is 10650.
2) Copies of the highest education certificate, graduation certificate and degree diploma (Such documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be notarized). If applicants are students, they should also provide documents of being university students. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.
3) Applicants need to provide relevant notarized transcripts. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.
4) A study or research plan in Chinese or in English (no less than 800 words).
5) Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors with their signature.
6) A photocopy of the HSK transcript or any other certifying materials that can prove the students’ Chinese level (submit if you have).
7) A photocopy of publicized academic achievements, patents and other research findings (submit if you have).
8) Three passport sized photographs.
9) The photocopy of passport (valid ordinary passport).
10) Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
