Insurance:

According to the stipulation of Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, international students in China shall buy the medical insurance in China. International students can buy comprehensive insurance for international students in China, insured by Pingan Insurance Company of China on the Enrollment & Registration day, with the assistance of International Students’ Department. For the students without buying medical insurance in China, the university shall not handle the registration formalities.  

 

 

Medical Service:

The school infirmary of Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) can provide good medical service for international students. When you feel sick, you can see a doctor in school infirmary of SISU with your student card and passport. There are big-scale, comprehensive, excellent hospitals like the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University near SISU, so you can choose different hospitals according to your need.  

 

According to the request of SISU, all the international students shall handle the comprehensive insurance for foreign students in China, insured by Pingan Insurance Company of China. So when you see a doctor in any hospital, please make sure of the qualification of the hospital you choose. In case of any claim problems of medical expenses, please contact Pingan Insurance Company of China as soon as possible before going to the hospital. The Executive Office of international students also can help you to contact insurance company, and confirm if your insurance includes medical expenses that you’ll spend and if the clinical expenses are included, in order to avoid some unnecessary trouble.

Hospitalization due to illness:

The international students, who shall be in hospital or have an operation, please report the Executive Office of International Students’ Department in advance. When it comes to an emergency and no time to report, the students also shall report to the Executive Office timely within 2 days in hospital, otherwise, all the expenses have been spent shall not be reimbursed.
