I Relevant Provisions and Instructions of Visa
X2 extension visa and residence permit should be issued by the public security authorities
China’s current law on entry or exit regulates that applicants for extending the residence permit, shall make residence permit extension at the Exit and Entry Administration of Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau30 days in advance before the expiration of the validity of their residence permits and that applicants for X2extension visa, must submit application for extension to the public security authorities 7 days before the expiry of the validity term of visa.
Applicants should submit application to their school 15workdays in advance before going to the public security authorities. With the application approved by the school and the relevant documents issued by the school, they can submit application for extension to the public security authorities.
The documents required to submit to the public security authorities for X2 extension visa and residence permit
1. Receipt of Digital Photo for Chongqing Entry-Exit (the photocopy is acceptable).
2. A photograph identical with “Receipt of Digital Photo for Chongqing Entry-Exit”
3. “Receipt of the Accommodation Registration for Foreigners” from the local police station (original).
4. Photocopy of your valid passport, visa or residence permit, and the page that has your recent entry record. (Copy them separately by using paper A4).
5. Document for extension issued by applicant’s school (get from International Students’ Department)
6. 《Receipt of Registration and Filing for Foreign Units (get from International Students Department)
7. Application form for visa (get from the public security authorities)
II The deadline of accepting the application for visa extension in this semester
The deadline of accepting the application for visa extension in this semester is November 30th, 2015.
For students whose visas expire before January 31st, 2016 and who is planning to study in SISU in the next semester, please submit your applications for visa extension to us before the deadline, or will be not accepted.
For students whose visas expire before December 15th, 2015, please submit your applications in advance.

III Procedures and Requirements of Applying for Visa Extension to SISU
Applicants should submit the “Visa Application Form for Study in China” and “accreditation instructions” with applicants’ own signatures. For applicants who don’t study in International Students’ Department, please submit the “Visa Application Form for Study in China” with approval comments of applicants’ own institution.

When submitting application, please submit the passport and the original“Receipt of the Accommodation Registration for Foreigners” that has your recent accommodation record at the same time for inspection.
If the application materials or the materials for inspection don’t meet the requirement, application won’t be accepted; applicant should reapply according the time in this notice, or will not be accepted.
For applicants who study in International Students’ Department, please submit application directly to Teacher Liu Zhenhong; for applicants, who study in other departments, please submit application to the teachers of your own department and relevant staff of the department will turn it over to Teacher Liu Zhenhong.
IV Examination and Approval, Fee and Release of Accreditation Materials by SISU
Application already accepted should be submitted by International Students Department to SISU for examination and approval within 5 workdays.
For applicants whose X2 visa extension or residence permit have been approved by SISU, please pay insurance fee and tuition not less than that of extension duration to SISU. Please pay insurance fee of a semester if the visa period is less than a semester.

Two workdays after payment, applicants can get documentary evidence and other relevant materials issued by SISU from Teacher Liu Zhenhong in International Students’ Department; further notice for the time for delayed materials will be informed.
V Services
The International Students Department plans to apply for residence permit extension on behalf of applicants at the Exit and Entry Administration of Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau on the afternoon of December 15th, 2015. For applicants whose residence permit will be expired between January 15th, 2015 and January 31st, 2015, who can submit application for visa extension on time to SISU, pay relevant fees, submit related materials and who can receive the passport after January 5th, can apply for this service. Detailed arrangements and requirements are following:
1.Application for commission service: when submit the application for residence permit extension to SISU;
2.Submitting accreditation materials: before 5:00 p.m. on the afternoon of December 14th, 2015;
3.Submitting passport and pay visa fee: from 12:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on December 15th, 2015;
4. Getting passport and new visa: it is estimated after January 5th, 2016, the time will be noticed.
